Join former Indiana Hoosier basketball great and Charlotte Bobcats power forward DJ White for basketball instruction and fun at the 2011 DJ White Hoosier Stars Basketball Camp presented by Fifth Third Bank.

Stations and Fundamentals

Each day, the campers will experience various stations, specializing in fundamental skills and the team concept of basketball. Individual groups will be small to assure that each camper gets maximum instruction from the top coaches in the Bloomington area.
 

Games and Competition

Daily games will be a staple in the DJ White Basketball Camp. Each camper will be placed on a team according to his or her age. He or she will play a minimum of one game each day in addition to participating in various camp competitions.
 
 

Instructional Lectures

DJ White will give daily lectures highlighting the finer points of the game of basketball and beyond. Parents and guests will be able to listen to camp guests in designated areas at each location.
 

Camp Store

Snacks, drinks and assorted camp items will be available for purchase.
 

Camp Concessions

For the convenience and safety of the campers, a Camp Bracelet will be available for $5. The Camp Bracelet includes 2 sports drinks, lunch, and 1 snack each day. Bracelets are non-refundable.

Few players could overcome what D.J. White has experienced as a rookie. White missed nearly the entire season with a benign tumor in his jaw, which needed two surgeries to correct. It kept him out of commission before the season even began.

White went from Big Ten Player of the Year at Indiana, to being drafted by the Detroit Pistons, to being traded to the Thunder on draft day, to sitting out the first 75 games of the season.

White remained patient though, by focusing on the positive. His time finally came on April 5, against the Indiana Pacers, when he made his long-awaited professional debut, and he did to a near standing ovation in front of friends and family. It’ll be a night White won’t soon forget, as he scored 14 points on 7-for-8 shooting.

It’s easy to see why the Thunder were so high on White.

The 6-9 forward has a knack for hitting the midrange jump shot, but has a healthy obsession with playing defense and collecting rebounds.

White was recently traded to the Charlotte Bobcats where he has become one of their most important players coming off of the bench.

Go WEST on E. 4th Street towards S. Indiana Avenue.  Make a LEFT at S. Dunn Street, then make a RIGHT onto E.  3rd Street.  Make a LEFT turn at W. 2nd Street and continue onto W. Bloomfield Road.  The Recreation Center will be on the RIGHT. 
 
From Indianapolis:
Take I-37 S to the I-45 S ramp towards Bloomfield Road.  I-37 will take up the majority of the trip.  Make a LEFT at the fork in the road and follow the Bloomington signs.  Make a LEFT turn at I-45 N and continue onto W. Bloomfield Road.  The Recreation Center will be on the LEFT.
