Each Camper Receives

Stations and Fundamentals

Each day, the campers will experience various stations, specializing in fundamental skills and the team concept of football. Individual groups will be small to assure that each camper gets maximum instruction from the top coaches in the Chicago area.  

Games and Competition

Daily games will be a staple in the Devin Hester Football Camp. Each camper will be placed on a team according to his or her age. He or she will play a minimum of one game each day in addition to participating in various camp competitions.

Devin Hester 
 

Devin played offense, defense and special teams for the Miami Hurricanes (2003-05), starting games at cornerback, running back, punt returner, kick ret and seeing time at wide receiver and returning punts and kickoffs.

Devin was selected in the 2006 draft in the second round as the 57th overall pick. He was selected to the Pro Bowl his rookie season, after leading the NFL in punt returns (47) and punt return yards (600) while tied for the lead with 3 punt return touchdowns, and 2nd in punt return average at 12.8 (led NFC)

Hester holds the league’s all time record for most kicks and punts returned for touchdowns in a season (6). Hester also holds franchise records for the longest play (108 yards), most punt return yards in a season (651 yards), most punt return yards in a game (152 yards), and most kickoff return yards in a game (225 yards).

Devin was selected to the 2007 Pro Bowl his rookie season, as well as 2009 and 2011. Devin Hester broke multiple NFL records and is known as the greatest return specialist to ever play in the NFL. At age 29, Devin Hester has broke nine NFL records, and five Chicago Bears Franchise Records.
 

Camp Director Andy Olds  
 

Andy Olds will direct the daily programs. With over 27 years of coaching experience, Coach Olds is one of the most successful high school coaches in the Cincinnati area. Since being named head Coach at Kings in 1998, Olds has lead his team to a 111-34 record, captured 9 FAVC titles and has qualified for the post season 8 times all in only 13 seasons. He is a 5 time recipient of the Cincinnati Bengals Coach Of the Week, was awarded the Warren County Excellence in Teaching Award in 1998, and in 2011, Coach Olds was named the Marvin Lewis High School Football Coach of the year. He also directs Camps for Hall of Famer Anthony Munoz, Chicago Bear’s Devin Hester, and Tennessee Titan’s Chris Johnson. Andy has been with Chris Johnson as his director since the inception of the camp in 2007.

Prior to joining the Kings Football program, Olds served as assistant football coach and head baseball coach at Madison Plains High school from 1985 – 1991. He is a graduate of East Clinton High School and Capital University where he played college football. Olds received his Masters degree from Indiana University where he was an assistant professor as well as an assistant baseball coach under legendary coach Bob Morgan. He currently resides in Maineville, Ohio with wife Pam and has two sons Tyler and Michael.

Coaches

The Devin Hester Football Camp will be staffed with the area's top prep football coaches. Each coach will bring a unique football background to the event with the ability to share techniques and philosophies with the campers on a daily basis.
