Josh Freeman

Born February 13, 1988 in Kansas City, Missouri, Josh Freeman is one 6’6" 248lb quarterback that is a force to be reckoned with. A developed star in his younger years, Freeman was the face of his high school football team. With a career total of 7,000 yards, and 33 touchdowns his senior year, it was to no surprise that he was named All State and was also the “Stop Player” in the Kansas City metro area. Upon graduation Freeman had both the records in Grandview High school for passing yards and touchdowns.
Freeman went onto his undergraduate studies at Kansas State University where he graced the field with his quarter back savvy and went onto become the first true freshman to start at Kansas State since 1976. By the conclusion of his senior year, Freeman had a whopping 8,068 yards, 680 completed passes and 44 touchdowns. Freeman along with Ell Roberson are the only quarterbacks in Kansas State Wildcat history to have at least 60 touchdowns during their collegiate careers. It is noted that during his college career he was named National Player of the Week three times and was also the 2008 honorable mention All American selection by Pro Football Weekly.
After forgoing his senior year in college, Freeman took a leap of faith and decided to showcase his talents on a much larger playing field. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were impressed by Freeman’s high marks and selected him with the 17th overall pick in the first round of the 2009 NFL draft.
As a rookie to the team, Freeman took the backseat to veteran stars during the 2009 season when after a string of losses, the Bucs gave Josh an opportunity to get out on the field. He began to start midseason in attempt to resurface the success that the team seemed to be losing grip on. The Bucs 2010 season showed better light. As the starting quarterback, Josh proved to live up the hype impressing fans with 25 touchdowns, 3,451 yards along with several big plays throughout the season.
Freeman’s highlights also include being recognized as NFC Player of the Week, during week 5 and 17 in 2010 and was named as an alternate for the 2011 Pro Bowl. For the first time in Freeman's carreer he threw for over 3,500 yards this past season, which also led to him marking his career high completion percentage at 62.8%. Freeman now has almost 9,000 career passing yards and 51 touchdowns in just three seasons.

Camp Director Frank Murphy

Former NFL Player, National Speaker, Author, Life Coach,

Born in Jacksonville, Florida, Fran Murphy preserved through countless obstacles to live out his dream of playing professional football. His journey to the NFL began in high school where he won numerous awards as well as the senior running back and return specialist at West Nassau High School, including: All-American, All State and Player of the Year.
Murphy spent his first two years of college playing football for Itwamba Community College and Garden City Community College; subsequently, he was named to the National Junior College Athletic Association All-American first team and National Player of the Year. Murphy then transferred to football powerhouse Kansas State University in 1998.  Murphy still holds three Powercat Strength Records: 4.22 in the 40 yard dash, 42” vertical jump and 42.04 300 yard shuttle. In 2008, Murphy was inducted into the National Junior College Hall of Fame.

Murphy Athletes with Purpose Organization, which hosts men’s conferences for athletes with the goal of creating a new sports culture of new role models to enter the athletic arena as leaders, not followers, in their locker rooms and communities.
Murphy’s determined attitude to persevere through the unexpected challenges of life has prepared him to impact audiences nationwide as an author and speaker. He believes that when people commit to identifying purpose, making the right choices and becoming a role model for others they will live their best lives possible. Murphy’s focus on action oriented personal growth is reflected in his motto: “Believe It, Claim It, Work it Out!” Murphy plans to continue inspiring people of all ages to strive for the next level in achieving their full potential and living their dreams.
