Kyrie Irving 

Despite injuries shortening his season, Kyrie Irving’s stellar play in his 11 games at Duke University earned him the #1 overall selection in the 2011 NBA Draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers. With his career ready to blossom in Cleveland, the rookie guard looks to be a catalyst for the young and resurging Cavaliers for years to come.

Irving was a standout basketball player in all 4 years of his high school career. As a freshman and sophomore at Montclair Kimberley Academy he averaged 26.5 points per game, 10.3 rebounds, 4.8 assists, and 3.6 steals. After only two seasons Irving became the schools second 1,000 point scorer. In his final years of high school, Kyrie received national attention by being selected to play on the Junior National Select Team, as well as playing in the Nike Hoop Summit, the Jordan Brand All-American Classic, and the McDonald’s High School All-American game. Irving would complete his high school career with a gold medal in the 2010 FIBA Americas U18 Championship.

In only 11 games as a Duke Blue Devil, Irving stood out amongst the competition and was a strong candidate for NCAA Freshman of the Year. In the first 8 games of his collegiate career, Irving led Duke in scoring with 17.4 points per game while also tallying 5.1 assists and 3.8 rebounds per game. Returning from injury mere hours before the NCAA Tournament, Kyrie helped lead the Blue Devils to a Sweet 16 appearance where he would complete his season with a career high 28 points against Arizona.

Take the OH-83 exit, EXIT 153, toward Avon Lake/Avon. Turn left onto Center Rd/OH-83 N. Turn right onto Chester Rd/OH-83. Take the 1st left onto Center Rd/OH-83. Continue to follow OH-83. 175 AVON BELDEN RD is on the right.

From East: Take I-80 W toward Cleveland (Portions toll). Take the Lorain Rd exit, EXIT 152, toward OH-10. Keep left to take the ramp toward OH-10/I-480 E/North Olmsted. Merge onto Lorain Rd. Turn left onto Lear Nagle Rd. Turn left onto Mills Rd. Turn right onto Chester Rd/OH-83. Take the 1st left onto Center Rd/OH-83. Continue to follow OH-83. 175 AVON BELDEN RD is on the right.
