Old Spice Marvin Lewis Football Camp

Marvin Lewis

Coach Lewis is the ninth head coach for the Cincinnati Bengals.  The Associated Press named Coach Lewis the 2009 Coach of the Year following a 10-6 regular season and an AFC North division championship.  He began his coaching career at Idaho State University where he was a graduate assistant coach for linebackers; there, he was a three-time All-Big Sky Conference linebacker, in his own right.

Prior to coaching for the Bengals, Coach Lewis served in a variety of capacities both for the collegiate and professional ranks, respectively.  He has served as an Assistant Coach with:  Long Beach State, University of New Mexico, University of Pittsburgh, Kansas City Chiefs, San Francisco 49ers, Pittsburgh Steelers, Baltimore Ravens-where he won Super Bowl XXXV, as well as the Washington Redskins.

Coach Lewis has become an icon for the area of Cincinnati.  In addition to bringing the football team more confidence and unity, Lewis has reached out to strengthen the franchise’s ties to the community, making more than 280 appearances in his first five years while also encouraging players to become engaged.  In 2003, he launched the highly successful Marvin Lewis Community Fund (MLCF).  The Fund has donated more than $3 million for support of its own programs, seven annual recipient organizations and more than 80 other proven regional non-profit organizations.
