Stations and Fundamentals

Each day, the campers will experience various stations, specializing in fundamental skills of football. Individual groups will be small to assure that each camper gets maximum instruction from the top football coaches in the Atlanta area.

Games and Competition

Campers will participate in daily games, stations, and skill contests during the Matt Ryan Football ProCamp. Each camper will be placed on a team according to his or her age.

Instructional Lectures

Matt Ryan will give daily talks highlighting the finer points of the game of football and beyond. Parents and guests will be able to listen to camp guests in designated areas at each location.

Inclement Weather Policy

In the event of heavy rain or inclement weather, the camp will be moved to a nearby indoor facility. Camp instruction and other related activities will continue inside the facility. Parents will be notified of the indoor location in the Camp Bulletin that they receive at check-in on the first day of camp.

Alternate days/make-up sessions/refunds will not be offered. The decision to modify the schedule rests solely with the camp director and management.

Matt Ryan

Matt played his college football at Boston College where he was the Eagles' starting QB from the 2005 season through 2007, leading them to three bowl victories and a 25-7 record in 32 starts. He threw for 200 or more yards 15 times and is fifth all-time in school history in passing yards and in pass completions. He also earned MVP honors at the 2005 MPC Computers Bowl. In 2007, Ryan led his team to an ACC Atlantic Division championship and was named ACC Player of the Year.
 
In the 2008 NFL Draft Matt Ryan was selected third overall by the Atlanta Falcons. Matt was immediatrly named the starting quarterback for the Falcons and responded by earning Rookie of the Year honors in 2008. In 2009 Ryan was voted by his teammates as Offensive Captain at the end of the 2008 Season. He was first on the depth chart and was the Falcons starting quarterback for the second consecutive season.

Matt Ryan has led the Falcons to the playoffs two consecutive season in a row. He is coming off of his best season yet, throwing for 4,177 passing yards and 29 touchdowns with a passer rating of 92.2%. Matt Ryan continues to improve and put up remarkable numbers each year.

Camp Director Tim Carras

A veteran coach with 21 years of football coaching experience, nineteen of those years were at the collegiate level.  Tim starting his college coaching career in 1979 at Baldwin-Wallace College under the direction of distinguished Coach Lee Tressel and the Yellow Jackets had an outstanding year and qualified for the Division III Playoffs.  In 1980, Tim was a staff member on the University of North Carolina team that became Atlantic Coast Conference champions, beat Texas in the Bluebonnet Bowl and ended up the #9 rated team in the final UPI poll. 

Tim spent nine years at the University of Rhode Island as a secondary coach and defensive coordinator, the Rams won three Yankee Conference championships as well as qualifying three times for the NCAA IAA Playoffs.

In 1990, Tim moved on to Miami University as the defensive coordinator.  In his eight year tenure at Miami as the defensive coordinator, linebacker coach and secondary coach, the Miami defense consistently ranked in the top ten in the country in Division I statistics in many defensive categories.  Carras also coached two different players at different positions that became the Mid American Conference defensive Players of the Year.

Coach Carras has been affiliated with ProCamps for several years and over that period of time has worked the Kellen Winslow Camp, Chris Spielman Camp, Ben Roethlisberger Camp, Colt McCoy Camp and the Kyrie Irving Camp.

Coaches

The Matt Ryan Football Camp will be staffed with the area's top prep coaches. Each coach will bring a unique football background to the event with the ability to share techniques and philosophies with the campers on a daily basis.

 Registration is closed to the general public for the Matt Ryan Football ProCamp. The camp is part of Matt Ryan’s initiative to give back to the Atlanta community. Camp spots are allocated to and administered by the Boys and Girls Club of Hall County. We are dedicated to empowering and inspiring the children of Atlanta.
