Reggie Bush

Bush played college football at the University of Southern California from 2003-2005, including two National Championship seasons. He became the first Trojan since Marcus Allen to lead the Pac-10 in all-purpose yardage, totaling 2,330 yards. Bush had a terrific 2005 season, as he was a unanimous All-American first-team pick, named the Associated Press 2005 Player of the Year, and was awarded  the Doak Walker Award (nation's best running back). He led the nation with an average of 222.3 all-purpose yards per game and finished fourth in the NCAA Division I-A ranks with an average of 133.85 yards per game rushing. He set the Pac-10 record for total yards from scrimmage with 513 (294 rushing, 68 receiving, 151 return) against Fresno State on November 19, 2005.  In 39 games at USC, Bush started only fourteen times. However, he finished tenth in NCAA Division I-A history with 6,541 all-purpose yards. He finished with 3,169 yards and 25 touchdowns on 433 carries (7.3 avg) and 1,301 yards with thirteen scores on 95 catches (13.7 avg). Bush returned 67 kickoffs for 1,522 yards and a touchdown, adding 559 yards and three scores on 44 punt returns (12.7 avg).

Bush was selected by the New Orleans Saints as the second overall pick in the 2006 NFL Draft.  In the NFL Reggie has continued to be a versatile threat in gaining 1,940 yards on the rushing and 1,934 recieving in his four seasons while also scoing 32 touchdowns.  On January 16, 2010, in the NFC divisional playoff game against the Arizona Cardinals, Bush had one of the best games of his pro career. On only 5 carries, Bush rushed for 84 yards including a 46 yard touchdown run. Reggie also added an 83 yard punt return touchdown late in the third quarter, the Saints' last score in their 45-14 win.  In the NFC Championship Game, Reggie scored a late touchdown that helped the Saints win their first NFC Championship.  On 7 February 2010, Bush and the Saints won their first Super Bowl with a 31-17 win over the Indianapolis Colts in Miami.

For the 2010 Season, Reggie Bush and the New Orleans Saints made the playoffs for the second straight season. Reggie would become a free agent and later sign with the Miami Dolphins for the 2011 season. Bush would have the best season of his career rushing for 1,086 yards on 216 ATT and 7 total touchdowns as well.

Camp Director Rod Huber

The Lions claimed the 2009 HCAC championship with a 7-0 mark, their fourth HCAC title in program history, which enabled them to qualify to the NCAA Division III playoffs, marking their fifth overall appearances in the post-season tournament. The Mount is also the only team in HCAC history to record three straight conference titles. In addition, Huber was named HCAC Coach of the Year last fall, his third such honor.

Huber has over 25 years of coaching at the high school and college level and has been on the Mount football staff since the program’s inception in 1990. Prior to becoming the third head coach in Lions’ football history in 2000, Huber was a defensive position coach and spent four years as the Lions’ defensive coordinator. He also coached the College’s wrestling program for four seasons. During the 1999-2000 season the team garnered Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament and NCAA Division III Midwest Regional championships. Huber was named conference and regional Coach of the Year that season.

Upon graduation from high school, he entered the U.S. Army where he played football and spent time in Germany and the U.S. After leaving the Army, Huber enrolled at the University of Cincinnati where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in social studies education in 1988. He began his coaching career at Lloyd Memorial High School ( Kentucky ) in 1982, moved on to Glen Este for one season (1986) and later coached outside linebackers at C.A.P.E. High School (1987-1988).

Coach Huber is an active member in the Southwest Ohio Football Coaches Association (SWOFCA), the American Football Coaches Association and is a member of the Jason Taylor Foundation.
