James Jones
Born on March 31, 1984, James attended Gunderson High School where he player football, basketball and track. Following high school Jones attended San Jose State University where he played wide receiver for four year. During his breakout senior season Jones recorded 70 catches for 893 yards and 10 touchdowns. He capped off his stellar senior season in the New Mexico Bowl with six catches for 106 yards and two touchdowns on his way to being named the offensive MVP of the game. Jones' accomplishments during his senior season earned him Second Team All-WAC honors and an invite to the NFL Combine.
Jones was selected with the 78th overall pick in the 2007 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers. During his rookie season Jones recorded 47 receptions for 676 yards and two touchdowns. From 2008-2011 Jones played in 58 of the Packers 64 total games and caught 140 passes for 2,028 yards and 18 touchdowns. In 2012 Jones had a breakout season, setting career highs in catches with 64, yards with 784 and touchdowns with 14. His 14 touchdown receptions led the NFL.
Jones has played in 10 postseason games, including a Super Bowl win, and has recorded 26 receptions for 360 yards and four touchdowns.
Camp Director Rod Huber
Rod Huber returned in 2010 for his 11th season as the College of Mount St. Joseph's head coach. Huber has 27 years of coaching experience at the high school and college level and has been on the Mount's football staff since the programs inception in 1990. Coach Huber led the Lions' program to three straight HCAC championships from 2004-2006, and the Lions 9-2 overall mark last season was their eighth straight season of a .500 or better record. The Lions claimed the 2009 HCAC championship with a 7-0 mark, their fourth HCAC title in program history, which enabled them to qualify to the NCAA Division III playoffs, marking their fifth overall appearances in the post-season tournament. The Mount is also the only team in HCAC history to record three straight conference titles. In addition, Huber was named HCAC Coach of the Year last fall, his third such honor. Prior to becoming the third head coach in Lions’ football history in 2000, Huber was a defensive position coach and spent four years as the Lions defensive coordinator. He also coached the College’s wrestling program for four seasons. During the 1999-2000 season the team garnered Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament and NCAA Division III Midwest Regional championships. Huber was named conference and regional Coach of the Year that season. Upon graduation from high school, he entered the U.S. Army where he played football and spent time in Germany and the U.S. After leaving the Army, Huber enrolled at the University of Cincinnati where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in social studies education in 1988. He began his coaching career at Lloyd Memorial High School ( Kentucky ) in 1982, moved on to Glen Este for one season (1986) and later coached outside linebackers at C.A.P.E. High School (1987-1988). Coach Huber is an active member in the Southwest Ohio Football Coaches Association (SWOFCA), the American Football Coaches Association and is a member of the Jason Taylor Foundation. Coach Huber has directed youth football camps for many pro athletes including Jason Taylor, Chris Cooley, Chris Johnson, and Steve Smith.The James Jones Football ProCamp will be staffed with the area's top prep coaches. Each coach will bring a unique football background to the event with the ability to share techniques and philosophies with the campers on a daily basis.
