San Francisco linebacker Patrick Willis was born on January 25, 1985 in Bruceton, Tennessee. He played college football at the University of Mississippi. Coming out of high school, Patrick was ranked among the top for linebackers. He attended Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central High School in Tennessee where he received awards such as Regional MVP, West Tenneessee Player of the Year, and was a two-time All-State selection.
In 2003, Willis joined the Rebels and experienced early success. As a true freshman, Patrick played in all thirteen games. That year, he received the Scholar-Athlete Award. The next year he remained the starter and earned honorable mention All SEC honors as he recorded 70 tackles. In 2005, Willis placed sixth nationally in total tackles with 12.80 per game, was named SEC Defensive Player of the Year, earned first-team All-SEC honors, and was named a first-team All-American. In his final season, Willis repeated his junior season accolades along with winning the Jack Lambert Award and Dick Butkus Award.
Willis improved his draft stock at the NFL Combine by being one of the fastest linebackers in the 40 yard dash and was selected by the San Francisco 49ers with the 11th overall pick in the 2007 NFL Draft. Willis has had a successful career in the NFL. He has made five Pro Bowl appearances and has racked up 812 tackles as well as 17.5 sacks.
The Duracell Patrick Willis Football ProCamp will be staffed with the area's top prep coaches. Each coach will bring a unique football background to the event with the ability to share techniques and philosophies with the campers on a daily basis.
