Coaches from our football, basketball, and soccer camps share five at-home drills that build real skill in 15 minutes a day.
Skill development doesn't require a field, a gym, or a private trainer. The drills below come straight from our camp curriculum and can be done in a driveway, backyard, or basement.
1. Wall Ball (Lacrosse / Baseball)
Ten minutes against a brick wall builds catching and throwing reps faster than any team practice. Alternate hands every 25 throws.
2. Form Shooting (Basketball)
Stand three feet from the rim. Make 50 shots using only your shooting hand. Footwork, balance, and follow-through travel with you to game speed.
3. Cone Footwork Ladder (Football / Soccer)
Five cones, two feet apart. Lateral shuffles, in-and-out cuts, and backpedals. Three sets of 30 seconds.
4. Soft Toss (Baseball / Softball)
A parent or sibling tosses 30 balls underhand from the side. Focus on hands inside the ball and a level swing path.
5. The 60-Second Mirror (All Sports)
Stand in front of a mirror in your athletic stance for 60 seconds. Hands ready, knees bent, eyes up. Conditioning the body to hold a ready position pays off in every sport.
