A practical checklist for first-time campers and parents — from gear and nutrition to the mindset that gets the most out of two days with a pro athlete.
Walking into a ProCamp for the first time can feel huge — you're about to spend two days learning from a professional athlete alongside hundreds of other young players. The good news: a little preparation goes a long way.
Pack the Essentials
Sport-specific footwear, two changes of athletic clothing, a refillable water bottle, sunscreen, and a packed lunch. If your camp is outdoor, add a hat and bug spray. We provide all training equipment, but campers are welcome to bring their own ball, glove, or stick.
Eat and Sleep Like an Athlete
The two nights before camp matter more than camp morning. Aim for nine hours of sleep and a balanced dinner with protein and complex carbs. On camp morning, eat a real breakfast — not just a granola bar.
Show Up Coachable
The campers who improve the most aren't always the most talented — they're the ones who ask questions, try new techniques, and aren't afraid to look silly while learning. Encourage your athlete to introduce themselves to a coach in the first hour.
Capture the Moment, Then Put the Phone Away
Every camp includes a team photo with the headlining athlete. Beyond that, let your camper be present. The best memories aren't on a screen.
